There were two of us for a weekend and had a double room in the guest house. This was super cozy and nicely furnished. It is also very clean. You were warmly welcomed and everything was super uncomplicated. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is sufficient (many 3 star hotels are worse off there). The restaurant is a must for the evening, the conditions are super friendly and fast. We waited less than 20 minutes for the food with the house full. And it tasted great! Clear recommendation from us.

Very friendly and quick service. Special request (fried potatoes instead of french fries) was no problem at all. The food itself was good, tender schnitzel and good fried potatoes. The dishes are inexpensive and rich. The water bowl for the dogs was not missing either.

I needed a room at short notice, which I could easily reserve on the phone here at the Gasthof zur Goldenen Schlüssel. The room became a small apartment. This is probably the normal room. Super comfortable with a small bathroom and practical kitchen, quiet location in the middle of the old town of Braubach. Very clean. TV and Wi-Fi included. Everything for little money. The hosts are very friendly, uncomplicated and accommodating. Only the parking situation is not perfect, but I have always been able to find a parking space in the immediate vicinity.

Just great. Have booked here, very short notice, a room. 3 persons and 3 dogs. No problem at all. We have a very cozy, clean room with a small terrace and a view of the castle. The whole thing for a sensational price. In the evening we ate in the inn. The dinner, as well as the breakfast the next morning, left nothing to be desired. We liked it very much. The lady of the house was very nice and the waiter in the evening too. The two alone have earned a 5 star rating. We will definitely come again. Many Thanks.

Have lunch here in the beer garden, rustic good bourgeois simple and delicious as we were used to as children. The service was attentive, fast and friendly. The beer garden is surrounded by beautiful old half-timbered houses in the middle of the square in the town.

Great restaurant in a nice public square. Lunch was great and the price was reasonable. A great place to take a rest or eat after visiting Marksburg castle.

Nice out door seating. Too bad so many people smoke as it ruins it for the rest of us. Other than that, they have good bottles of Riesling. A selection of rumpsteaks, fish platters (cold), and pork loins.
